CONCUSSION PROTOCOL

Concussion safety is taken very seriously here at Maple Leaf Sport & Entertainment. It is critical that coaches, parents, and athletes are aware of the symptoms of a concussion, as well as the protocol to follow when a concussion is expected.

If an athlete shows any signs or symptoms of a concussion, found by our on-site trainer, we must follow the remove-from-play protocol.

REMOVE-FROM-PLAY PROTOCOL

If an athlete is declared by our on-site trainer as unfit to participate in activities due to signs or symptoms of a concussion the athlete must be removed from activities.

NEXT STEPS

The athlete should see a medical physician and provide a doctors note to our team to be cleared to participate in activities for the rest of the week.

For more information on concussion safety, including signs and symptoms to be aware of, please click here.
